Family Day 2024
In 2024, we are thrilled to announce our plans to further expand to a three-day festival with the addition of a Family Day, collaborating with organisations such as the Kildare Autism Network, Warrior Wellness, Kill Musical Society, Eadestown Choir, local magicians, and opera singers, further integrating local artists into our festival. Our vision is to bring together inter-generational community members as both performers and audience members, strengthening the bonds within our community.
One of our primary commitments is to make Eadestownbury autism and neurodiversity friendly. I have come to realise that many events lack the necessary accommodations to cater to the unique needs of individuals with autism. This realisation has fueled our dedication to ensuring that Eadestownbury is an event where everyone feels not only invited but embraced.
We aspire to go beyond the ordinary by teaming up with social groups for people with autism. Collaborating with these groups allows us to gain valuable insights and work together to make Eadestownbury a truly autism-friendly environment. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where individuals with autism and neurodivergent conditions can enjoy the festivities without barriers.
As part of our commitment, we are excited to introduce features such as a sensory room. This space will provide a calming environment for those who may need a break from the main event. Additionally, we plan to host autism-friendly workshops that cater to a variety of interests, ensuring that our programming is both engaging and accessible.
